Before you choose an agent and start looking at potential homes, it is helpful to do some preliminary preparation. In order to secure a mortgage, you will need to check your credit score and collect your financial records. Getting all that paperwork organized will make everything easier and help us determine what you can afford.
Prepare your paperwork:
- Financial statements
- Bank Account Statements
- Investments
- Credit cards
- Auto loans
- Recent pay stubs
- Tax returns for two years
- Copies of leases for investment properties
- 401K statements, life insurance, stocks, bonds, and mutual account information
- Check your credit score
